The TransferJet Consortium was established in 2008 by a group of international companies with the common goal of developing the technology, products and services based on TransferJet wireless technology. The consortium was registered as a Japanese incorporated association on September 1st, 2011. The TransferJet Consortium focuses on the development of the specifications, compliance testing processes and tools, as well as marketing activities to promote the TransferJet concept and technology worldwide.

TransferJet Consortium has two classes of membership, which are Adopters and Promoters.
Adopters will be able to access, as licensees, documents including various technical specifications and guidelines related to TransferJet, in order to develop, manufacture, and sell products compliant with those specifications and guidelines. In addition, Adopters will be able to participate in some of the events and programs administered by TransferJet Consortium.
From May 2009, the consortium is accepting applications for Adopter membership.
Promoters participate in the development of the technical and compliance specifications as well as the overall management and operation of the consortium.
